What is a cookie?

Cookies are small information files, which are stored in your browser on your computer, tablet, mobile device or similar. Among other things, cookies make it possible to recognize your device on future visits. This is used to create statistics on user behaviour and register a login on a webservice.

1st party cookies

When you use our login services, cookies are used to remember that you have accessed the system. These cookies can also be characterised as necessary cookies and expires at every ended session. No personal data is stored in our cookies, and they cannot contain viruses.


3rd party cookies uses third party cookies from Google Analytics to measure traffic and user behaviour on the website. The purpose is to customize and improve user experience, so that it matches yours and other user’s interests and purpose of visiting the website.

Personal data

Geomatic does not proactively collect personal data. Only in specific cases where you have given your personal data, through for instance our newsletter subscription or registration on etc., do we process your personal data. Your personal data is solely used for the purpose of which it was registered. Furthermore, Geomatic will not disclose any personal data to a third party, unless you have explicitly given your consent hereto.


Protection of personal data

Your personal data is, according to the Data Protection Act, required to be kept secure and confidential. Your data is stored on computers and systems with restrictive access, which are further placed in controlled facilities. Our security measures are controlled on a regular basis, in order to ensure that your data is handled with due care and follows your rights as a user. However, in case of an online data transfer, we cannot guarantee 100 percent security. This entails that there exists a risk of other users gaining unauthorised access to the data when it is sent and stored electronically. Your data is therefore provided on your own responsibility.


Access and complaints

You have the right to gain access to the data we process about you. In case you wish to get access or change the data which is registered at Geomatic, we kindly ask you to contact or call +45 7020 5046. Moreover, you can always object any registration of data in accordance with the Data Protection Act. If you wish to complain about our processing of your personal data, you can also contact the Danish Data Protection Agency.
